New rendez-vous for TALKS IN PROGRESS. Presentations of new books, dvd-s and readings, in the events room at the Library/Mediatheque, Wednesday 17 April 2013, at 8.30 p.m., with the presentation of the book Così nuda così violenta. Enciclopedia della musica nei mondi neri del cinema italiano (So naked so violent, Encyclopaedia of music in the dark worlds of Italian cinema) by Alessandro Tordini, (Arcana 2012) with the author present.

Attending together with the author, Rossano Lo Mele (journalist and musician - Perturbazione), Hamilton Santià (“Il Mucchio Selvaggio” music critic). The meeting will be moderated by Silvio Alovisio (Turin University).

To follow, film screening of Il consigliori by Alberto De Martino.

Durin the evening, Rossano Lo Mele and Hamilton Santià will propose a series of songs and music from Italian “genre” films, selected from the rich collection of records at the National Cinema Museum. Thanks to the Di.Do.S. (Sound Documents Digitization) project, it has been possible to set up an important campaign for salvaging and enhancing the collection: all the records have been catalogued, and three-hundred items (the most valuable and off-market ones) have been restored and digitized by Punto Rec Studios.
