For the DIALOGHI IN CORSO presentation of newly published books, DVDs and readings, a new event organised in partnership with CinemAmbiente entitled At the dinner table and respecting the animal world: Reflections on a carnivorous West will take place on Friday, 7 October 2011 at 8.30 p.m. in the Bibliomediateca.
The evening will feature contributions from Marina Berati (a member of the Agire Ora Network), Gaetano Capizzi (the director of the CinemAmbiente Festival), Enrico Moriconi (a veterinarian and president of the AVDA Association of Vets for Animal Rights) and Simone Pollo (an expert in animal bioethics at the University of La Sapienza in Rome). The evening will open with Jessica Cusano (from the Consulta di Bioetica non-profit organisation).
Afterwards there will be a screening of the documentary Meat The Truth, directed by K. Soeters and G. Zwanikken, the Netherlands, 2009, 73’.
Admission free until all seats are taken, following free enrolment to the Bibliomediateca and proof of identity.
