Bibliomediateca – from 25 february to 3 march 2011

The second event in our HITCHCOCKIANA series is a roundtable on the master of the thriller and Brian De Palma. Afterwards there will be a screening of Brian De Palma’s film Body Double.

 

On Friday, 25 February 2011, at 5.30 p.m. in the Bibliomediateca, there will be the second event in our HITCHCOCKIANA series, with a presentation of two new publications on the master of the thriller Alfred Hitchcock and Brian De Palma.

The two books – La scrittura dello sguardo: Il cinema di Brian De Palma by Massimiliano Spanu and Fabio Zanello, (published by Edizioni Historica, 2010) and PSYCO & PSYCHO: Genesi, analisi e filiazioni del thriller più famoso della storia del cinema by Massimo Zanichelli (published by Le Mani, 2010) – will be presented by the authors themselves who will be in attendance. They will be joined by Giulia Carluccio (University of Turin) and Leonardo Gandini (University of Trento) for a roundtable which will discuss recent Italian publications on these film directors. Introduction by Paola Bortolaso (National Cinema Museum). Afterwards, there will be a screening of Brian De Palma’s film Body Double.

The next event in the IL NOSTRO SGUARDO, LE LORO PAROLE (OUR GAZE, THEIR WORDS) festival is a screening of Ermanno Olmi’s film La leggenda del santo bevitore (The Legend of the Holy Drinker) introduced by Claudia Audi Grivetta.

 

The next event in the IL NOSTRO SGUARDO, LE LORO PAROLE (OUR GAZE, THEIR WORDS): Italian cinema meets German literature festival will be in the Bibliomediateca, on Monday, 28 February 2011 at 3.30 p.m., and will feature a screening of Ermanno Olmi’s film La leggenda del santo bevitore (The Legend of the Holy Drinker). Introduced by Claudia Audi Grivetta.

IL NOSTRO SGUARDO, LE LORO PAROLE (OUR GAZE, THEIR WORDS): Italian cinema meets German literature is the first festival planned for the 2011 season, organised by the National Cinema Museum in partnership with the Sperduti nel buio film club of the DAMS college for the performing arts of the University of Turin, the Goethe Institut of Turin and the Colloquia association.
