Our usual CULT! evening returns after the summer break and in September presents Road to Nowhere, Monte Hellman’s latest film.


The National Cinema Museum devotes its September CULT! evening to Monte Hellman’s latest film, Road to Nowhere, a tribute to the mystery of film and the creative process. The screening will take place on Friday, 16 September at 8.30 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three. Admission: 5.50/4.00/3.00 euros. There will be a repeat screening at 10.30 p.m.

The National Cinema Museum presents the “Il Prix va al Massimo” festival at Cinema Massimo


The National Cinema Museum presents Il Prix va al Massimo, the new feature of the 2011 edition of Prix Italia, from Sunday 18th to Friday 23rd September 2011, with daily screenings in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three.

The festival is part of the competition’s 63rd edition, entitled Lo spettacolo della storia (History on show), which for the third consecutive year will take place in Turin and will include radio, television and Internet programmes from 48 countries and will offer the general public six days of free performances, premieres and screenings.

Among the events planned for Cinema Massimo, the evening of Monday, 19 September 2011 at 8.30 p.m. is particularly worthy of note, featuring a world premiere of the film version of Giacomo Leopardi’s Operette morali, directed by Mario Martone. Photography by Renaud Personnaz. Mario Martone, who will be in attendance, will answer questions from the audience and will introduce his latest work.
