PLANET AFRICA presents "Le Djassa a pris feu" by Lonesome Solo.
Cinema Massimo – 13 January 2017, 8.30 p.m. – Screen Three
The PLANET AFRICA rendez-vous will also continue in 2017, featuring a focus in January on the Ivory Coast and its cinema, which was almost inexistent until a producer, Philippe Lacôte, founded Wassakara Productions in 2003, thus contributing to the formation of a young generation of actors and filmmakers. Among them is Lonesome Solo with his Le Djassa a pris feu (Burn it up, Djassa), recited in nouchi, the Ivorian slang, a mixture of French and various dialects of this country, with a few words of English and Spanish, shot in eleven days, just prior to the explosion of the civil war. Admission 3.00 euro.
