The last event in the PERFIDA ALBIONE (PERFIDIOUS ALBION: England between irony and bitterness) series will be on Monday, 30 May 2011 at 3.30 p.m. in the Bibliomediateca, and will feature a screening of Kirk Jones’s film Waking Ned. Introduced by Hamilton Santià.

PERFIDA ALBIONE (PERFIDIOUS ALBION: England between irony and bitterness) is a series of screenings and talks on British film and particularly the bitter-sweet comedies that were often the best examples of that cinematic tradition. The festival, which will feature four outstanding examples of comedies made between 1946 and 1998, will end Monday afternoon events in the Bibliomediateca and has been organised in partnership with the University of Turin’s DAMS college for the performing arts and the Sperduti nel buio film club.
