The European Heritage Days are back. The National Cinema Museum is taking part in the initiative by offering discounts and a guided tour.
The National Cinema Museum is also taking part in the European Heritage Days by offering discounted admission to the museum costing 1 euro on Saturday 24 between 6.00-11.00 p.m. (last entry one hour before closing time). On that same evening, a Turin Cinema City guided tour costing 6 euro + admission to the museum for 1 euro will be possible.
This guided tour will describe the golden age of Turin in the early years of the Twentieth century – when some of the most important film production companies were operative –by means of emblematic examples right up to our time, during which Turin has gone back to being a protagonist in Italian cinema, in several ways.
The European Heritage Days, promoted by the Council of Europe with the support of the European Commission, have been opening cultural locations to citizens since 1991, featuring archaeological, artistic and historical, architectural, archival and librarian, filmic, theatrical and musical heritage.
The event is involving the 49 Member States of the European cultural Convention signed in 1954, over several weekends in September and in October.
