The 19th edition of the Sottodiciotto Film Festival & Campus is back at the Cinema Massimo.
Cinema Massimo – from 16 to 23 March 2018 – All screens
Sottodiciotto Film Festival & Campus, the event directed by Steve della Casa dedicated to younger people, and organised by AIACE Torino and by the City of Turin, is back. As usual, the core of the programme features screenings in the national competition for audiovisual productions made in schools, which may be viewed from 19 to 23 March. The days of 17 and 18 March instead feature the screenings of works from the National OFF Competition, reserved for short-films made outside schools. As is customary, the festival will offer a packed agenda of screenings for students of every order and age, from primary schools to high-schools, in collaboration with several bodies and partners. The festival “made by and for youngsters” will offer itself once again during this edition as a wide-ranging overview of youthful culture played out by cinema, right up to the media and other forms of expression. In particular, an ample section by curator Enrico Bisi – the author of Numero Zero: alle origini del rap italiano – will be dedicated to the communication code preferred by kids, music, around which the Wikicampus meetings will develop with “lectures” open to everybody, which Sottodiciotto is organising with DAMS and Il Circolo dei Lettori. Finally, there will be no lack of premieres, ranking according to age groups, and the traditional animation section dedicated to adults and tiny tots.
Admission to the festival is free. Its programme may be checked on the www.sottodiciottofilmfestival.it website.
