The National Museum of Cinema presents the results of several recent restoration projects, published as DVDs by Minerva-Rarovideo, at the 27th Torino Film Festival
The National Museum of Cinema and the Minerva Rarovideo publishing group present the results of several recent restoration projects at the 27th Torino Film Festival, elegantly collected in three DVD box sets. The Minerva Classic series - the best of Italian fine cinema from the 1950s, 60s and 70s - will feature Uomini contro (Men against) by Francesco Rosi, in the restored version of 2008, and La classe operaia va in paradiso (The working class goes to Heaven) by Elio Petri, in the restored version of 2007, both produced by the National Museum of Cinema in partnership with Cinematografia-Cineteca Nazionale's Centro Sperimentale. The Rarovideo - Arte Cinema Visioni series, in contrast, features the soundtrack Marlene Kuntz vs Miss Else, a film-concert by Marlene Kuntz superimposed on the film Miss Else by Paul Czinner (1928), a misunderstood masterpiece, magnificently restored by Bologna's Cineteca.
