The National Cinema Museum presents the festival entitled The never-ending story: Three epics by David Lean.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the death of David Lean, the National Cinema Museum pays tribute to the great British film director, screenwriter and producer with a brief retrospective at Cinema Massimo, entitled The never-ending story. The festival features three of the great epic films directed by Lean: Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago and Ryan’s Daughter. This tribute has been organised by the National Cinema Museum.
The retrospective will open on Monday, 11 July 2011, at 8.30 p.m., in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, with a screening of the first great epic film directed by David Lean, Lawrence of Arabia, which won, among other things, Academy Award nominations in 1963 for Best Picture and Best Director. Admission: 5.50/4.00/3.00 euros.
