The National Cinema Museum renders tribute to Jerzy Skolimowski – a writer, painter and poet, as well as an actor and filmmaker, considered amongst the major representatives of new Polish cinema – with a retrospective titled Hands up! Jerzy Skolimowski retrospective, from Monday 1 to Tuesday 16 October 2012.
The retrospective will be inaugurated Monday 1 October 2012 at 4.30 p.m., on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo, with the film screening of Deep end, a key work in understanding the least obvious and stereotyped side of that season marking a shift from the 1960s to the 1970s, as well as the artistic journey of this retiring Polish director, as brilliant as he is unpredictable. Admission: 6.00/4.00/3.00 euro.
