Please be reminded that until 6 January 2015 it is possible to visit the great Once upon a time in Italy. Sergio Leone’s cinema exhibition, by curator Christopher Frayling with Lorenzo Codelli’s collaboration. This exhibition, which features over 180 items, is a journey among photographs, objects, film excerpts, promotional material, memorabilia, sketches and posters, bringing the sets of legendary films that changed the history of cinema back to life. The exhibition is a project by the National Cinema Museum, in collaboration with the Bologna Film Archive, organised for the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the film For a fistful of dollars, recently restored by the Bologna Film Archive.
The Christmas period will also feature activities for the public and for families, with two guided tours to the Once upon a time in Italy exhibition :

Tour cost (1h30’) 3.50 € per person, free up to 5 years. Museum admission free for juniors up to 18 years escorted by parents and accompaniers; adult concessions € 8.00.

The customary rendez-vous with Sunday at last! will also continue during the Christmas holidays every Sunday afternoon, offering play-and-learn activities dedicated to children within the new Paideia Hall, linked to a visit at an Archaeology of Cinema or Cinema Machine showcase section:

On Tuesday 6 January 2015 at 4.30 p.m., special rendez-vous for tiny-tots (4-8 years) with The Befana comes by daytime… in which a lovely Befana decides to spend her feast day at the Museum, accompanying small guests through an animated itinerary in the Cinema Archaeology section, to discover the birth of cinema entertainment.
Activity duration 1h30’, max 20 per group. Suggested age: 5-13 years.
Activity cost € 4.00 per child, € 3.00 with a Junior card. Museum admission for escorts € 3.00 per person. Adults escorting children may choose whether to watch the laboratory or to visit the Museum for the duration of their activities.

The Library/Mediatheque and the Archive will remain closed to the public from Wednesday 24 December 2014 to Friday 9 January 2015 included. Services will resume regularly on Monday 12 January 2015.
