The National Cinema Museum is presenting THE FRAGILE DIVA– Four films with Gene Tierney showcase from Friday 1 to Wednesday 20 July at the Cinema Massimo.
The showcase will be inaugurated, on Friday 1 July at 6.30 p.m., by the screening of Heaven can wait by Ernst Lubitsch, drawn from the theatre comedy Birthday by Leslie Bush-Fekete. Amusing and ironical, but also perfectly balanced between levity and depth of insight, it is the first and only film shot by Lubitsch in Technicolor, with a lovely Gene Tierney.
