As part of the FARE GLI ITALIANI (MAKING ITALIANS): The history of Italy in film series, the National Cinema Museum presents Ettore Scola’s film C’eravamo tanto amati (We All Loved Each Other So Much) at 8.15 p.m. on Monday, 10 October 2011 in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three and Marco Bellocchio’s La Cina è vicina (China is Near) at 10.30 p.m. Admission: 5.50/4.00/3.00 euros.
The series is a National Cinema Museum project, organised in partnership with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Experimental Cinematography Centre) – National Film Archive and is thematically tied to the great exhibition Fare gli italiani (Making Italians), being held in the OGR exhibition hall.

The National Cinema Museum presents Yasujiro Ozu’s Late Autumn for MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS): The Permanent Festival of Restored film.
The National Cinema Museum presents Yasujiro Ozu’s film Late Autumn on Tuesday, 11 October 2011 at 8.45 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, screening a copy restored by the British Film Institute. HD digital screening. The screening will be repeated on Wednesday, 12 October at 4 p.m. Admission: 5.50/4.00/3.00 euros.
The film is one of the events in the new and exciting season of MAGNIFICHE VISIONI (MAGNIFICENT VISIONS): the Permanent Festival of Restored Film.

The National Cinema Museum and the DAMS college for the performing arts present Charles S. Chaplin’s film The Great Dictator as part of HISTOIRE(S) DU CINÉMA, presented by Giaime Alonge.
The HISTOIRE(S) DU CINÉMA: Classics from film history series continues, organised by the National Cinema Museum and the University of Turin’s DAMS college for the performing arts at Cinema Massimo. The next event will be held on Wednesday, 12 October 2011 at 6.15 p.m., in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three, and will feature a screening of Charles S. Chaplin’s film The Great Dictator, introduced by Giaime Alonge. Admission: €4 (€3 for university students and the over 60s).

The National Cinema Museum devotes its October CULT! evening to Jerzy Skolimowski’s latest film, Essential Killing, where the Polish film director continues his investigations into extreme film, exploring the physical and psychological limits of human resistance. The screening is scheduled for Wednesday, 12 October 2011 at 8.45 p.m. in Cinema Massimo’s Screen Three. Admission: 5.50/4.00/3.00 euros. There will be repeat screening at 10.30 p.m.
