For AUTEUR SHORTS, the CNC – National Centre for Short-films in collaboration with the National Cinema Museum, presents a screening of a selection of short films by the Milanese filmmaker Marco Ferreri and samples of his taste for the grotesque and his artistry in provocation at the Cinema Massimo, Friday 13 April 2012, at 8.30 p.m. on Screen Three. In addition to this sort of “solo-show” on Ferreri’s shorts, Il lavoro (Work), a short story by Luchino Visconti, will be presented, inaugurating a new showcase dedicated to classics. For the occasion of the Bugs, Daffy, Sylvester & Co. The cartoons of Warner Bros. exhibition, the National Cinema Museum presents The best of Sylvester and Tweety and All Stars part I.
Due to the great success obtained with the public at the week-end screenings dedicated to the Warner world cartoon characters, the National Cinema Museum will offer additional enjoyable incursions into the Looney Tunes universe for the month of April. The best of Sylvester and Tweety and All Stars part I, a selection of the best stories of the most popular characters in the series, will have repeat screenings Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 April, at 3 p.m., on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo.

Fifty years on from the release of the Beatles’ first record, Nexo Digital and Good Films present a screening-event of George Harrison. Living in the material world, Martin Scorsese’s wonderful tribute to the Beatles guitar player who departed ten years ago, on Monday 19 April. The National Cinema Museum subscribes to the event – which will take place at the same moment in various Italian towns – by holding a double screening of the documentary – presented at the 2011 Torino Film Festival – on Monday 19 April, on Screen One at the Cinema Massimo, at 4 and at 8.30 p.m. Admission: 10 euro.
