The Story Of Film: An Odyssey by Mark Cousins

The National Cinema Museum will host the screening of the fifth and sixth episode of The Story Of Film: An Odyssey, the documentary by Mark Cousins - produced by Channel 4 and distributed by BIM - dedicated to the history of cinema, also featured at the Moma in New York after its success on television, on Tuesday 9 October 2012. The episodes– lasting 62’ each – will run on Screen Two at the Cinema Massimo, at 3.30/5.50/8.10/10.30 p.m. Admission: 5 euro. Concessions: 4 euro for Over60s and university students.

The National Cinema Museum and the Turin University Humanities Department present the film screening of The rules of the game (La règle du jeu) by Jean Renoir, introduced by Giaime Alonge, on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo, Wednesday 10 October 2012, at 6.15 p.m. Admission 4 euro (3 euro for university students and over 60s).

HISTOIRE(S) DU CINÉMA is a showcase of the most significant classics in the history of cinema from the 1930s to the 1970s, introduced and commented by relevant professors from Turin University.

For the new rendez-vous with PAPER CINEMA and on the occasion of the recent release of the essay Swinging City. Londra, centro del mondo (Swinging City. London, centre of the world) by Valentina Agostinis (Feltrinelli, 2012), the National Cinema Museum presents the film screening of Blow-up by Michelangelo Antonioni – in the copy preserved by the British Film Institute – introduced by the Milan journalist attending the cinema, Wednesday 10 October, at 8.45 p.m., on Screen Three at the Cinema Massimo. Admission: 6.00/4.00/3.00 euro.
